Experience

D-rank: Getting started at the bottom. all that's needed is an approved character app.

C-rank: An Average mage. Requires 30,000 EXP points to reach.

B-rank: Above average quality and a veteran in the field of magic. Requires 100,000 EXP

A-rank: A well known mage who can handle his/her own against the best. 500,000 EXP

S-rank: An Elite Mage who is known by all and a household name in a lot of areas. 1,000,000 EXP minimum and completed S-rank exam.

SS-rank: A legend that will be known for generations to come be good or evil. 3,000,000 EXP and completed SS-rank exam.

Missions

D-rank: 1,000 to 4,900 EXP
C-rank: 5,000 to 8,000 EXP
B-rank: 8,100 to 12,000 EXP
A-rank: 12,100 to 20,000 EXP
S-rank: 20,100 to 30,000 EXP
SS-rank: 30,100+ EXP

Starting with a higher rank: The draw back to this is that you have zero experience unless it's a new character after your old one died. This means that if you get the auto rank up to C-rank you still have zero experience and have to do more missions than usual to get to B-rank. although you can take b-rank missions and it's easier to reach that amount it is the draw back to auto ranking. Same goes for the A ranks and S ranks.
